can overclock this?

its an AMD Athlon x2 dual core 5200+ 2.7GHz

I do alot of gaming so i dont know if this will help performance wise.
 
I,ve never overclocked one of the 65nm. X2 5200. But most of the X2 4600 and up, you can get around 200mhz before you have to start bumping up the voltage.
 
how do i do it ive never done it before. While im doing ill do it in small increments so that i dont screw it up lol
 
You just start bumping your bus speed up little by little. After you get to around 215mhz you might have to set your Hypertransport back to X4 and bump your memory back, you dont say what speed memory your running but if it DDR2 800 set it back to 667 and so on. It overclocks your Hypertransport and memory when you raise the bus speed. When it gets unstable you can back off the mhz some or you can bump your CPU voltage up but keep a eye on your CPU temps.
