Can someone help me on buying a laptop?

try alienware or dell.
I've noticed Alienware have gone a bit lower in their range at the moment, the Area 51 laptops are coming in around you price, with a bit of customising you should find one you need.
One of the key things to look out for on a laptop is a decent graphics card, too often they are just integrated ones which wont cut it. Look for something thats offering an X1900 or 7900GS in it.
