Hello! I have an HP Pavilion M9250F Desktop PC, and I have the following issue with it, but not sure how to fix it. It started with my monitor going into sleep mode which was normal. However, a few hours later, when I was trying to get the monitor out of sleep mode, it didn't come on and was showing "no signal". So I shut the entire power off, and turned it back on after a minute. The computer came on, yet I was still not getting signal on my monitor, but this time, my computer constantly started beeping. HP's website had a troubleshoot process which I followed which was indicating a hardware error, and to test the RAM first, then the video card. I tried the process but nothing worked. So I am assuming it is a motherboard error.
My motherboard has 775 socket with 4x240 pin DDR2 RAM, and Intel Core 2 Quad processor. Please find below the link for the computer specs and motherboard specs. I was wondering, could someone refer me to a somewhat decent motherboard that I can replace with the one currently in the system? Also, if I were to upgrade to a better a motherboard that has DDR3 memory slots, and I purchase the correct memory cards, would the rest of the components work with that motherboard? Could someone make some recommendations for me?
