Can someone suggest a good motherboard and Video Card...?

I'm building a new pc, and will most probably get an Intel Core2 Duo or Core2 Quad as my cpu. I will be building a dbl monitor setup, and am trying to decide on a motherboard and Video Card to allow for that.
Any suggestions on what I should get?

Best bang for your buck IMO.

What's your budget for the video card?

Anyways, the 7600gt/8600gt/s are good midrange cards. A little more money would get you the x1950pro and the 7950gt. The next step up would bring you to the 8800GTS. And if you really want the best, you can get the 8800GTX/Ultra and 2900XT.

As long as you don't need an SLI rig, then the motherboard martyvice suggested is a very good board.

Are both of the monitors your going to be buying DVI? Then make sure that the card you get supports dual dvi set ups.

some reviews say that the board you've suggested, GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard,"Would not POST again after [they] put the system in standby" ...
They say "This board has a bug, if you put the system in STANDBY mode and try to wake it up the system will not POST, the fans will start spinning for about 10 secs and the system shuts off and the the fans come on for 10 secs then shut off and this repeats forever. I have tried everything to no avial, clearing the CMOS, shorted the battery leads, unpluging the 12v connectors, etc In the process of RMA for a new one"

But even then you might not need it, especially if your PC is a budget to mid range class one.

Or if you PC is old and the GPU is slightly outdated and is selling really cheap.Then maybe.

Oh so now my rig is not a gamer's rig? Mine wasn't mid range budget, or I don't consider it to be.

That bug wasn't in the mobo, that is a Vista bug, that's been fixed by the recent update. I had the problem
