Can these server memory use in desktop computers

Hi all,
Can these server ddr memory use in desktop computers? I have this HP a430n desktop which use Asus main board it only come with 2 256mb stick pc2700 memory. If these memory can work, I would get 2 1gb stick to put in there.

The first link, no you cant use them. They are ECC (error checking) and most motherboards don't support EEC.

Look like the cheap one on the second link is not working with most main board neither, When I put it to the cart, the give me a list of main board that is not compartable with this memory. So I am out of luck. maybe swap around with other desktop to make it to 1 gb and deal with it.
