can u make recovery disk from custom built pc

im building my pc mon-tues and i want to know if you can make your own recovery cd if something gets mesdt up. if it is possible what do i do and what program can i use

somewhere along the line of slipstreaming. you can install the os, include the drivers and programs so you dont have to restart after every program install.
