Can you confirm my mobo is dead?

i just bought a 970 gtx card and installed it in my computer. I had to change where the hard drive bay was because the card is so long. I pulled the old card out(550 ti) I moved the hd to the bottom bay. And installed the 970. Plug everything back in and the green light comes on my mobo(Asus p8z77 v-pro) but when I hit the power lights come on the fans and they spin for about half a second then turn off. I have to flip the power switch in the back to be able to get the same response. I can't just keep hitting power button. After once it has no reaction. I brought my psu to best buy for them to check it and they said it was good(corsair cx750m). I can post a video of what happens when I hit the power but all that happens is lights and fans come on for a split second then go off. When switching cards I didn't mess with the cpu or heat sink at all. I can pull it out if you think I should I have some extra paste. I'm so sad I can't use my new card yet :'( it worked fine right before I unplugged computer to install new card. I did have my cpu overclocked to 4.5GHz

Thanks for any and all help

Put your old card back in and see if the system works. You got both pci express power connectors going to the video card?

Nothing worked :( had to get an rma on the board. But now I got a new board and it still won't boot although I get beep codes. I can't figure this out :(
