Can you download straight to SD card?

Got a monte carlo android phone and it has 160Mb of internal storage. Bought a 16GB SD card. But there isn't an option to download apps from the app store straight to SD card. You have to download to the phone's internal storage and then move the apps over to the SD card but this is impossible because I have almost no space on the phone's internal storage.

Is there a way to download from the app store straight onto the SD card?

Some apps can't be run from the SD card. If my search is right, that phone came out in 2011 running "Gingerbread". Go into Settings and then Storage to see if you can find something.

I do not believe you can do it directly to the phone, although after the app installs into the phone you can transfer it to the sd card. I had a similar problem with my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Epic 4G having little space.
