Hi, im planning to buy this mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128066 . Whit this memory: Kingston hyper 2 X 1024 megs 1066mhz. (Should i go whit corsair or else?)

The things is, i heard from a friend that if you have fast memory (refering to 1066mhz or even 800mhz) whit a fast mobo. I will aslo need a fast hard drive like a 10,000rpm or esle it's not worth it and the computer will still run at the hard drive speed.

Is it really worth it to buy a 10,000rpm HD like this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136011 instead of a 7,500rpm???

Also i already have a 7,500 rpm HD on my computer. Will it compromise the speed of the new HD if i install the 2 on my computer? For example: Should i install Crysis on my 10,000rpm HD whit my other HD install or should i uninstall my old HD. Im asking this cuz maybe a game need to search some files in windows vista and not only my Crysis folder.

First thing is Gigabyte has Kingston as the main brand in their recommended memory lists while Asus sees Corsair on theirs. Funny thing that an old Asus board used here saw unexplained errors with Corsair xms series memory and Kingston alike. The last build and the new one now in use have seen great results with either. Those are also Asus boards.

That would 7,200rpm not 7,500rpm as the speed seen on most desktop model drives. And no you don't "have to" run a Raptor model in order to run a new game out. Having more then one drive especially sata drives doesn't impede anything just because one model is faster then another.

Actually having the Raptor as a second drive boosts read access speed when using it for storing files. The original idea of adding SCSI drives in was for speeding up access to data stored on separate drives. That's where you would see a gain over having a 7,200rpm model instead like the second sata here is used for storage and backing things up.
