Can you help me save my dead netbook?

Hi guys,

I own several computers, and two of them are netbooks. One of my netbook, a Toshiba mini nb200, apparently died in my hands. Here is what happened. The netbook started acting up weird (getting slow, not responding, etc.) after some (fat) girl accidentally made it fall off the ground at college. It was still working ok, and I was able to make my school stuff.

However, it got worse after a few weeks and now, the netbook just won't open. I press the "on" button, I hear the fan start, the screen is working, like it's on, but it's only displaying pitch black. And then, after a few seconds, the fan stops and nothing happens. I left it open for HOURS and really, nothing happens. I can't access anything, no menus, no bios, nothing.

So...

1) What do you think happened?
2) Is there a way for me to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

you can always try taking it apart to see if anything is loose. ive never really had any luck in repairing laptops when it comes to issues like that.

if nothing else you can always put it up on ebay. you can probably get an easy 100-200 for it even though it doesnt work properly. I had a newer HP that the video card was fried on ( least thats what im guessing) I kept the harddrive and ram and it sold for 150

I think it might be worth a shot to open it up and see if the CPU heat sink was jarred loose or something like that.

I doubt you could sell a non-working netbook for $100 when you can buy new ones for $200.

Yeah, I think I'll just tear it apart for the advancement of science, lol. Plus, I'd have to take the HDD out if I wanted to sell it, so I would have ended up opening it anyways... Thanks guys for taking the time to answer me,
