Im getting a new desktop and want to install Ubuntu on my Lap Top but its 32 bit. On Ubuntu's website I can only find the 64 bit version. Any help or tips?

Download from meganova. I did that and it was the fastest I've ever gotten.... almost a megabyte a second.

Close doesnt nessesarly mean faster. ;) But thanks, any tips for the install?

Heh. Well, yeah. I'm in NJ and the fastest I've gotten was from Georgia. As for advice...I'd have to know a bit more about your system (partitions, dual boot, total HDD size, etc.), before offering any suggestions.

You said Desktop, right? The Pentium M series is for laptops.

RAM will be fine, as you will utilize a Swap partition as well. General standard 'rule' is to have a swap twice the size of your physical RAM, up to 2 Gigs. Will this be dual-booted with Windows?

You cannot have just one partition, the least you can have is two, one for /Root, and one for /Swap. If you want, you can also set up a /Home for all your files. The benefit of that is you can keep your files if you ever reinstall.

Other than that, just pop in the CD, let it load, click Install, and let it do it's thing :) It's a guided process, so you shouldn't have any problems.
