Can you mix and match different brands of videocards for sli?

You run a risk depending any differences in specifications between the two malkes while both are good cards. Usually an SLI setup means identical in every way to see the best results. But both cards run the sasme NVidia chip. Look over the specifications carefully on both brands. Other then that it should work. Simply running the two together shouldn't see problems but SLI can be touchy at times.

Can you mix and match different brands of videocards for sli cause my MSI 7600GT double slot cooler had been discontinded and I was wondering if I would be able to take a different brand card and sli them would that work?

I was thinking of using this card with my other MSI 7600GT.

Well, short story No. Some games it will jump up close to a 7900 then other games you see no improvement at all. So its kind of a up and down thing.
