Can you run a .EXE on a flash drive?

Hello,

How to put this in legal terms? Say I wrote a program and compiled it into a .EXE . Let's say the name of the program is ZOOM and it is a simple 2D FPS. Say I wanted to play it on another computer *cough* school computer lab *cough*. Could I put it on a flash drive, put it onto the other computer, and run it off the flash drive?

I wouldnt see why not, if the game doesn't require registry entries and various system files (i.e. if its a standalone EXE), then it should run.
