can you tell me which computer is better for gaming and multitasking

CPU they all will do fine but none of them are good for gaming including Adam choise. This is because they all have intergrated graphics and well if you want a gaming computer you going to have to do better then that in the video card department.

i was going to upgrade the sound and the video card

and why do you guys not recommend the pentium dual core i mean come on it has 2 processors why dont you think it wont be good for gaming

2 cores doesn't mean its twice as good and better at everything. All intels are "generally" better at Multitasking, and AMD for gaming. I would go for the 1st or 4th and upgrade video.

the second and third are the same price and model but different storew, suggest those and upgrading integrated gfx to a 6600gt. second would be the last and do the same thing. Before any gfx upgrade, upgrade psu.

Never Ever!!! Or A Dell!!!
i know i bought a dell and it works fine but i need to upgrade the powersupply but they have to put in a differnent one thats not compatipble thats why i am going to buy an hp

Yes, Dell's WORK fine, but when it comes to upgradability, they suck. Just like AMD64 said, I bought a new power supply for my Dell, and since it wouldn't fit right I had to SAW OFF part of my case. I was pissed with Dell and will never order from them again. Plus their customer service is horrible. I was on the phone for over 2 hours when I had a bad mobo with a customer service rep. who barley spoke english to finally tell me that I was screwed.

I don't know about current emachines, but I have had an emachine about 6 years back and it wasn't that great.

Then why pay the premium on the motherboard for the integrated video? Also make sure that the board has an expansion slot for the videocard you're getting. Of the systems listed, the last Athlon64, the 3500 is the best system there CPU wise but either of the Athlon64s is an ideal platform to start from

Your right, none of them are so great for gaming, however, he asked which one would be the best, that would be the last one.

See! :)

For multi tasking a dual core is better than a single core, but for gaming a faster single core is better unless the individual cores of the dual core can match the speed of the single core. Whew!!

Note that i only commented on the CPU -- not the system.

If you get technical even at on-par there is a slight overhead of running in dualcore mode (0.1-0.5% really hehe) :P But the important thing is for the multithreaded games ... dualcore will own there
