Canada Post Virus - in my pc today

I opened an email that I should not of I guess. It looked legit...it was a CanadaPost email that notified me that a parcel attempt had been made - I wasn't home - and now I would have to go to the link provided to get the tracking # print it and go to the Post Office to get my parcel.

I did that and Canada Post told me it is a virus and it's been around for a while.

I tried to get rid of it using Avast and Malware. I took the Malware Log and pasted it into ComboFix. I ran CF in SafeMode with Avast disabled...like I'm suppose to do. I got a message that said I CFScript appears to be misspelled - I click on Okay and then my PC reboots.....I tried this twice now and can't get by the CFScript message.

Thoughts??

Gary

You don't take the malwarebytes log and drop onto combofix. Never run combofix without supervision. Please post the logs, malwarebytes and hijackthis.

HIJACKTHIS and MALWARE logs copied and pasted below

Hi John - ya I should have waited for "supervision".....doh !

Never open any email that you don't know. There are a lot of scams going on through email. If you didn't send a package or order anything then don't open it.

Why would someone create a CanadaPost Virus? I don't work for CanadaPost...I don't get it.

To cause havoc to a lot of internet users like yourself that don't know any better.

Your log looks okay, having any issues with your system?

No - I don't have issues with the system right now.

I usually DO NOT open suspicious emails.

However, just coincidentally I have a package (bought on eBay) that's arriving any day now. I buy a lot of vintage drum parts on eBay and have packages delivered often. I usually get a notifier hung on my door if I'm not home when the carrier tries to deliver it. I just thought when I saw the CanadaPost email that they started to notify via email too. The CanadaPost Letterhead looked convincing - it looked perfectly legit. I printed off the CanadaPost letter and the tracking number after opening the link in the email. I took the printed copied the Postal outlet that I often go to when I get a notifier. The Postal clerk informed me at that time it is a virus.
