Cannot change DNS settings

When I try to change the DNS settings via TCP/IP, it does not save, even though I click on OK, the DNS setting always defaults back to connect Automatically when I go back to the this page, can anyone please explain

What are your current dns settings and what are you trying to change them to?

The current setting do not, the boxes are blank because it is ticked to obtain settings automatically (default)(from the SP). I am trying to change to google DNS 8.8.8.8

You have to click "use the following dns servers" and you have to enter both the primary and secondary dns servers.

primary 8.8.8.8
secondary 8.8.4.4

A reboot may be required after changing servers.

Thanks I did all that except the re-boot, that worked OK
