Cannot connect to internet?

Hello to all.
I just installed XP on a new computer this morning. It won't connect to the internet. I reset the modem, made sure there was a good connection and even re-installed XP. Any suggestions? The internet works fine when I plug my old computer in (as you can see by my typing here).

Are you sure you have the driver for your ethernet controller installed? Usually that is something you need to install yourself if you use a plain copy of XP compared to using a factory recovery disc.

if the driver is not the prob try unpluging the cable and putting it back in dont ask why but it worked with mine also check your network connections to see if it says anything at all
