Cannot get rid of virus on computer

My husband downloaded something on my computer and later I found I have some sort of program that loads pop-ups and has invaded my computer. Norton doesnt recognize it, ad-aware sees it but cant get rid of it. I have tried doing a manual dump as well as a dump in safe mode. I have cleared the registry and still it reloads itself every time I open the explorer. Only option left is to dump the explorer and reload but hesitant to do that.
fcigbv.exe - calc.exe - packager.exe - and one mmred..something (that reloads when all the others are gone.)

I dont know what to do...i cant leave it on. they break through the pop up blocker and reload as soon as i task manager them and stop them...help!!!! How do I get rid of it??????

1. What is it?
2. Its doubtful that you've encountered a virus that Norton (et al) cant detect (i.e., one of them 'wild ones') ... if so you can always submit it to norton for further examination :)

what "it" is

From what I can gather I beleive "it" is some sort of program my husband accidentally downloaded that has integrated itself into my system... my computer as well as norton do not see it as a threat. adaware only touches on not liking it. The only concern I have is that even if I manually elimiate the files, registry, and any other places it hides...its still reloads itself somehow.....how is it doing that????
