Hi, I am having really bad time right now.
I built my computer about an year ago and ever since I built it, I'm having this problem but I don't know why.
My problem is that when I download files from Internet, especially installing programs and compressed files with .exe extension, is corrupted. I try to install many programs and every time I got the same message that saying the file is corrupted. It is not just files that I downloaded from the Internet.
I tried to install programs from CD and it did not work either.
What do I have to do to fix it?
I think it is hardware problem but I don't know what the problem is.

i would definately try repairing your installation of windows. if that fails there is definately a problem with your system.
the trouble is one of the first things to check would be you ram, however if you cant download utilities and run them without a message about corrupion its nigh on impossible to tell.
also, scanning for viruses would be a recommended step before attempting any of this.
if you manage to repair the installation and the problem still exists i would then try to fully format your system and perform a fresh install.

First of all, thank you for your help.
I do not get always corruption message. small size of program is fine, but over 100MB files are having problem.
And I tried for virus scan and did not find any virus.
Also I just reinstalled Windows 2000 so, there should not be any problem with OS.
I think it is the ram but not sure.
