Cannot install this Update

Whenever I try to install KB954459, I get the following message:


'Setup was interrupted before before MSXML6 service pack 2 could be completely installed ....to complete installation another time, run setup again'

I've tried to install it a number of times; but I keep getting the same message
 
uninstall service pack 3 first then update 2.

my question is why are you updating 2 if you already have 3.
 
the last update was for office 2007 for SP2 only. if ya want ya still have to uninstall 3 to update 2.

just put in the error and pick out your system for support.
Honestly i would think your covered if you have 3.
 
I've fixed the problem: the update I was trying to install was on a disc so I downloaded the update again from the microsoft website straight to my desktop and installed from desktop no problem.
