Cannot install Windows 7

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Z570. It was ridiculously infected. Malware bytes found over 1000 entries. Looks like the OS and the BIOS is shot. I attempted to do a clean install with an ISO via the dvd. The bios (F12) looks nothing like it should. Its looks like a multi-boot menu, so I can only boot from Windows 7. No way to make it boot from dvd or anything else. If I go into the dvd and select install from the dvd, it starts but eventually says it cannot find the hard drive. I tried to install the bios from Lenovo and it said I already have it. I just want to wipe the laptop clean and install a fresh OS, but I cannot. I am at a loss on this one. Need some advice as to how to make it happen.

Does the bios detect the drive? Check the sata controller setting in the bios and see what its set at. It will either be ahci or sata/ide/compatibility.

The bios in not visible. When I try to get into bios, I get the boot manager window, regardless is I use F2 or F12 and it does not look like what BIOS would look like. Don't know any other way to get into BIOS. I can boot the laptop although it does not look right. I can also get in command prompt.

Is there any way to post pictures of what you are looking at? You press the F2 button on startup to access bios.

Edit... Also try removing the hard drive to see if you can access the bios.

Is there a small button next to the big power button? Might have to press that, reading that in an article.

Sorry, I was editing the post to add the answers. The small key next to the power button did nothing. I saw that as well in my searching. Removing the hard drive did not help.

Well, it seems there is a bios update for this specific model for the issue that you can't access the bios. If you can still boot into the old windows 7 then download the exe for the bios update and run it and see what happens.

I saw that as well on the Lenovo site. I did that and it said I already had it. I checked it in msinfo32 and its correct.
