Canon Powershot S3 IS

hey guys i've had this camera for about 3 weeks now and i think im ready for some accessories. What im looking into is a telephoto lens. My question is has anyone had any experience with this camera and any of the available telephoto converters? If so is there one you would recommend? I was looking into the canon lens however its only 1.75x and i would like at least 2x magnification. Thanks in advance.

also just wanted to say for those who didn't know that the S2 IS lens work on the S3 IS so if you have an S2 and these lens feel free to post about it.

You're going to need an adapter to get the lens you want.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about Raynox lenses, as their 2020 Telephoto lens turns the S3 into a zooming machine. I think most their models are 52mm so you'll need the Lensmate 52mm adapter and then the lens of your choice. That's the one I would go with. Be sure to click on the examples, when going from what the S3's stock zoom is you go from seeing about 10 buildings to being able to see in individual windows.


Lensmate is a reputable dealer as well, I've ordered from them a couple of times and they have great customer service. I use their 58mm adapter on my S3.
