Canon S9000 Printer Problem

Photo Cyan is printing erratically (faded, skips). I have cleaned and deep-cleaned the printheads. It will print normal or near normal for a short period after that. One thing I noticed strange, I replaced the photo cyan ink cartridge "just in case". It failed to show a full cartridge but 3/4 full as before. This has not happened before with any of my cartridge replacements or since with other than the photo cyan. Could it be a printer head problem? Would it be advised to take the printer to an authorized repair facility or should I attempt repair/head replacement myself? Please advise.

well after you change the cyan cartridge does it print correclty (i wouldn;t worry about the ink level not being full;its only an estimate)

Do Canon print cartridges have the injectors on them, or are they part of the carriage? If the former, then you might look at the electrical contacts the the cartridge connects with. In the latter case, then you might try running some 90% pure (or better) isopropyl alcohol through the jets iin the carriage.

This may void any warranty you have, so if you do have a warranty, your best bet may be to use that.
