Can't boot from Win 95 cd

Lol, so I'm trying to boot from a windows 95 cd rom on an old computer  , to install it on it, but now the problem is I can't... It works perfectly with a Win XP cd rom, but I can't install that cause the computer only has 32 mb ram :P

So why can I boot from a Win XP cd rom and not from a Win 95? When I try, it says something like "Boot from Atapi-disk: failure"...

Sounds like the win95 CD is not bootable. Download a Win95 Boot disk from the internet (google it). You then make sure that your bios is set up to boot from the floppy drive first and place the floppy in the drive while having the win95 cd in the cd-rom and you should be off and running. This is of course assuming that you have a floppy drive installed of course.

Edit:

here I did it for you http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

Good luck

It could also mean the CD for Win95 is bad.. Scratched, marred and is unreadable..

Look at the CD and if its sctratched ... Its probably not going to read with a boot disk..

ALso if its real dirty, fingerprints or whatever it wont read either.. Take a real soft cloth or tissue, Wet some carefully wipe then dry with a clean dry tissue..
