Can't Boot XP again

Hi
I have a little problem with my pc, was wondering if someone could help me out a little. I have used XP and linux previously. Now I downloaded openSuse10.3 and loaded it over XP. I forgot that i didnt make a different partition to dualboot and want to go back and fix it. Thats where my problem comes in. When I pop my XP CD into my drive, its all good. I click to boot from CD and get the starting installation string appears. After that...nada... it freezes dead:mad:. The hdds are still puffing and the light is still shining, but nothing's happening. I tried my friends Vista DVD...same, freezes wayyy before it reaches the installation process. Now, idk either something's wrong with my motherboard or my drives. But i still get linux to install, suse and my old fedora version... sux dude. Anything would be helpful. Thanks.
My Stuff:
-Asus Striker Extreme
-Intel Cuad 2.4
-2Gb DDR2
-2 WD Raptors running RAID 0

P.S. I have a "Clear CMOS" button on my mobo, but will that help:confused:?

Can you boot to anything right now? I mean like another OS that does work? If so, can you completely wipe out and reformat the partition you are trying to install xp on? Of course this will erase everything, but I think you know that.

What version of XP is the CD? sp1 or sp2?

And yeah, you could reset the cmos. You can also take out the cmos battery for half a minute and it will reset it to factory settings. I'm not sure if that will fix everything for you, but you could certainly try it.
