Can't Burn Certain MP3s to MP3-RW...

I try to drag and drop mp3s from my music folder to Nero to make an mp3 disc...SOME songs say "no compatible file found". Any way to fix this? Do I need to convert them? If so, can I do that using Windows Media Player?

I'm not very familiar with Nero, but I have had similar problems. What gets me, what exactly is an MP3 disk? It's a disk with MP3s on it, correct? I mean, I didn't think there were special standards or anything. Have you tried simply burning the songs as a data disk?

Also, just a thought, you don't happen to have your computer set to leave off file extensions, do you? Perhaps you're trying to import a WMA rather than a MP3?

Just burn it as data. As an mp3 capable player should be able to read it. There could be many reasons some .mp3 files don't work; a guess would be that the bitrate is either too low or compressed poorly. Others is that the sound quality is bad at like 22khz or something. Or, it could be that it's not an .mp3 file at all. There is no need to have a special MP3 cd, just burn it as data and it should read.

Also, make sure you're not trying to do it on a dvd.

anyone say anything about portable? i didn't think so.

whatever mp3's don't burn right, needs to be downloaded again. legally, of course.
