Can't change colors...

I have an old windows 98 computer that my grandma gave me. I was looking through some of its information to see exactly what it had, and I accidently changed the color to 16-bit..... Now it won't go back to 256 or higher. A friend of mine had a similar problem and said it was fixed when he updated his drivers. I can't though because that computer has no access to the internet. So I was wondering what I had to do to fix it. Is there some kind of program that I can run? Or maybe something in the command prompt? Or, can you tell me a site where I can download the drivers, so that I can burn them to a cd and install them on the computer?
Thanks,

Can you find out enough about you graphics card to go to a computer with internet access, use google and find a copy of the driver and save it to a floppy or cd or usb drive and run the driver update and point to the file on the disk?

im not sure about the driver thing (possibly could work) but i too have a win98  and i just go to the control panel, then display, then settings and from there choose in the scrolly box
