I just built this computer a couple weeks ago, and its been working great except this little issue. It goes into standby mode after 10 min of no use(turns off monitor). I wiggle he mouse and it comes right back to life, the cursor moves but cant click anything and the windows taskbar does not raise when I slew down to the bottom. This just started happening yesterday and I'm confused. Also, I have Windows 7 64-bit.

EDIT: Fixed, installed service pack

Do a system restore back to when it was working correctly. It's possible a windows update has caused the issue. Standby and hibernate are very erratic as far as causing issues. Standby doesn't cause as many issues as hibernation does though.

Also, yesterday after coming back from standby it would take about a min before I could click on anything, today even after 5 min it still doesn't work.

That's the hard drive. The PC has to load things from the drive before you can use them. I'd suggest not using hibernate, instead simply shut down the pc and turn it on again when you need to. Often it is faster than saving everything in RAM to HDD and back to RAM when coming out of hibernation. If your computer is slow, we can help with that :)

CCleaner, Auslogics Disk Defrag, Malwarebytes are all programs I keep on every USB falshdrive I have. Of course, nothing is ever as good as a reformat of the disk and reinstall of windows. But then you have to save your data and set up windows/updates again, all your programs and so on. I dread doing it, but sometimes it's necessary.
