can't connect to internet

I got a sony laptop and recently it is unable to connect to the internet. I go to "diagnose the problem" and it says to flip the internet switch (switch on the front of the laptop to turn on/off the internet). I have the switch turned on but no internet. When i restart the computer the internet will work for 10 seconds then suddenly disconects.

Any suggestions to why this is occurring?

try reinstalling the driver sounds like a driver issue or a hardware conflict. if all elese fails use the wired port..
