Cant Connect To WiFi!

Hi,
I have an old iBook that i am using to run my favorite old mac os9 programs in classic, whenever i try to join a password protected WiFi Network it says "there was an error joining the selected AirPort Network" AFTER i type in the correct password but it works just fine when i join an unprotected WiFi connection. Any Ideas? :confused:
 
Often times older machines don't support newer encryption methodology, such as your router may be using WPA but the older machine only supports WEP.

If that's the case, there may be newer drivers available or you could disable the on-board wifi and use a USB wifi adapter. Another possibility (not recommended) would be to switch the router to use WEP but then you would also need to configure any other wireless clients to use WEP.
