Cant connect.

I started a new topic since my last topic was no longer going to get replies and for the fact that it is a little diff.

I reinstalled XP and all the suppose to be there programs are there. So IE is there but now I have another problem

I tried to connect into the internet after installing an anti virus just to be safe. While the anitivirus doesnt have to do anything with the problem. I connected my LAN (?) cable to the back of my MOBO and tried to set up the modem with the CD from my ISP (comcast) Since it first detects connection. I failed the TEST of connection. It said my LAN cable wasnt connected and I also tried USB but nothing either. I dont know what else to do. Also the little lights that the LAN connection port has dont turn on. What can I do?

have you installed the appropraite motherboard drivers that run the LAN port?

Thank you it worked. I wish I would of known that. I feel dumb.

Now I need speedfan cause it sounds loud in here
