Cant copy files to USB

Hi,
Yesterday i could copy files from my work laptop to my USB stick...today i cant, ....it now gives an error saying "files of this type cant be copied to the USB stick"

....no matter what the file is, it wont copy it over, do you know why?..and how to fix?

Laptop detail:
System Model VivoBook_ASUS Laptop X510UAO
Running windows 10 home

What is the location of the file you are trying to copy? You seem to be having a lot of issues with computers lately.

What file system did you put on the external drive and what file attributes are defined for that one within NTFS?
