Can't create String Value at Regedit

Hi all,

Need help on the above matter. I've done mistaken by removed one of String Value (Start Page) at \NKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main . I've try so many time to re-create it back, but failed.

Error massage I got as below: -

Cannot edit Start Page: Error reading the value's contents

Any suggestion.

I understand that you deleted the all Start Page key (and not only changed its value) ?...

by using regedit choose new key / name it Start Page / edit the value (complete url of the website which you want to use as a start page).

Is this what you have already done and still not works ?
 
Yes, I've deleted it, and then try to create it back, after create it - can't modofy it, when I performed refresh --> the String Value does not exist...

Hi Vista,

I've already used Registry Mechanic to fix the problem, but I'm still get the same error as before.

Any suggestion mate?
