Can't do frick with PC.. help?

It doesn't go any further than a black screen and the ability to move my mouse around.. I've tried letting it load, but it's just not happening. When I bought the PC, Vista was already installed, so I didn't get a CD with it. Now it looks like I can't re-install it, so I'm stuck and it's pissinggggggggg meeeee offffffffffff. Can anyone help me?

try starting in safe mode. Reboot and tap the 'F8' key and the menu comes up. choose start in safe mode. Give us the update.

OH MY GOD IT'S WORKING! I peed myself a little bit! There's now still a virus on it though, I keep getting errors about how Internet Explorer stopped working even though it's not on there at all. I don't have a working virus scanner, any advice? D:

theres a couple options but ya try to fix it now. go back to the main forum to computer security. these people will reply and get ya through it. read the instructions and do exactly as suggested. they have a few programs in there and you will be posting there for now. as virus a free would be AVG Grissoft free. http://www.avg.com/us-en/product-avg-anti-virus-free-edition.

If you think you are infected please follow these intructions.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here, here, here or here and save it to your desktop.

• Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
• At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
  • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
• then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• A log will be saved automatically which you can access by clicking on the Logs tab within Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

If you continue to experience problems after doing this, please post a HijackThis log by doing the following:

Download the HijackThis installer from here.
Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

Most of what HijackThis lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

Post the logfile that HijackThis produces along with the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware log
