cant erase

I had download a file from Internet to my USB , intend to bring it into my computer , but tried to cut for pasting it into my computer is disabled , it say that file is using by another program , find it and try again , now I want to delete it , but still not work , I afraid that it will lives with my USB forever , anyone shows me ways to get rid of it ?

What did you to download it with? If you used a bit torrent or other type of downloader that may be accessing the file while still running in the background. The Windows task manager can be used to stop anything besides the needed system processes to try and regain access for removal.

Another method is to temporarliy disable all startup items seen in the startup group found in the msconfig utility. After restarting the system you would then right click on the file to choose delete or simply drag it into the recycle bin and empty that afterwards.
