Can't find HDD?

Hi. I have a Gateway Laptop running windows vista. I also have Ubuntu 8.04 on it. But my problem is, I wanted to install Tiny XP. So I resized my partitions and added a 5 gig partition for the XP. When I put in the disk, it loads everything up, but then it says I have no HDD connected to my computer. I have 2 HDD's in it!!! I tried also a regular XP disk. Same error. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks in advanced.

How did you partition the Drive (what program, what sizes)? Was the 5 GB partition left unformatted or formatted to anything but FAT or NTFS? Windows cannot read other types of file systems natively, so if you formatted ext3 or jfs, that could be the cause.
