Cant find the problem!!!

Im connected to the interent throught a router using a netgear wireless card. It used to connect fine but iv just put a wep phrase onto my LAN and now it wont work. Iv found my LAN connection and click connect i then type in the passphrase and it works. It shows that there is a connection yet IE and firefox continue to say the page cannot be displayed yet i have a 54Mps connection shown at the bottom right of the screen with the little computer. All other laptops and PCs in the house are connected fine.

Can anyone help me Please

right iv removed the wep password and its now working but i now do not have any security on my LAN anyone have any options to secure my LAN??

I had the same problem on my wireless network, the password was blocking the connection somehow.

Try to see in the settings if you can find an option where you allow computers to connect to your wireless. That way you can block network stealers :)
 
yea i tried that where you can add stations manually so it says but its asking for their MAC addresses but i dont know where to find them. Think when you have these MAC addresses you can add machines to the network which then they can only use and no one else. Tried the WPA password thing now which seems to be working. Fingers crossed
