Hi,

I have a ati raedon 9600xt
athlon 3200+ 64 bit cpu
soltek SL-K8AV2-R / K8AV2- RL socket 754 mother board (VIA K8T800)
512 meg of ram

When I try and change my AGP setting in catalyst control center it will not change from 0. Smart Gart asks to reboot the system for new settings to take affect but these never do. I have the latest drivers on the video card and I think the Mother board is updated to its latest as well but I can't be to sure because I don't have a floppy drive to update it. I know that I should be able to change the AGP to 4x or 8 x but it just won't do it.... I'm really stumped on this one any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Andrew

I've seen this before.. The Control Center may be wrong as suggested but perhaps not.

You may have to enter your bios and set it to use AGP 8x then if it's still not saying it's set to AGP 8x then set it to that and reboot. I've had this happen on a past machine and that was the steps I took to resolve the issue. Good Luck.
