Cant get internet connection

My friend bought a new hd and loaded win xp but cant get the drivers etc recognized in order to access the net. I had a look for him and also had the same problem. All the available download from the mother board manufacture were downloaded and entered to no avail he has an Elite Group 661FX-M board which was bought new as an acer aspire (the info on the box doesnt match the case sticker) so my info is limited-sorry.
Does anyone have any idea how the solve his problem as iam at a loss

You will have to visit Acer's website and find the drivers for that specific model of computer. The model number should be listed on the front of the case, back of the case, on the bottom. Give us the specific model and we can help you.
