Can't get MSN sounds!

Not really.... well, I play Diablo II with the "-ns" parameter (No Sound) but then I can't get the sounds of the MSN alerts... what can I do? I've installed MSNPlus! before and it -kinda- played a sound when something happened but not all the time... any idea?
 
Ok, I don't use MSN, but does this problem occur after you play Diablo, or any time that you are trying to use MSN?
 
The sound card works perfectly, it's a new machine I'm on too and it's the same problem (so my old machine wasn't the one), and only happens when MSN 7.5 is open and another program uses the soundcard. Weirdly, Windows Messenger (that old 5.X modified XP version) can play sounds... :/
 
Yep, all of them on... and they work too when I'm doing something else!... also I have a new computer so soundcard drivers cannot be... as the sound card here is different than my old one.. :/
