Can't get my Smart TV connected

The tech from my internet provider just came & my phone connected to my router/modem, but my tv still won't. Time to buy a new tv?

If your TV detects any other wifi networks in the area then it's most likely a security setting on the router. What did he do to get your phone connected?

He found a reset button on the router that he had to push with a partially straightened paper clip
