On the new computer with Windows 10 I have Local account Administrator.
I'm trying to install the software for the D-link N300 USB Wireless. Installation does not go. The message appears "An administrator blocked you, Not trusted" and so on. In the Windows setting "Allow Apps tp communicate through Windows Firewall" I have choosen "Wiraless Portable Deveces", but nothing happend. What to do?

Try right clicking on the install file and click on run as admin.
The result is the same.
I found that:
1) Device doesn't have drivers for Wind 10 the closest driver is for Wind 8.1.
2) I shouldn't install USB Adapter before drivers, but I did.

Windows 8.1 driver should work for 10. What is the hardware version number you have? Its listed on the label on the usb device. We just need to install the driver and not the software.

Don't have a version 6 on the page. Choices are a,b,c,d, or e. Look at the following image to find hw #

Actually it looks like it only supports up to windows 7 since this is an older model. Version F1 doesn't even show up on the page. However, lets try this. Save the attached zip file, then unzip it to your desktop. Go into device manager, right click on the device namethat needs the driver and click on update driver, direct the update to the folder you just unzipped. If it don't work, then you'll need to buy a usb wireless adapter that supports windows 10.

If you can login to an admin account there's a decent chance it will just give you a generic driver that works anyway.
