Can't install office 365

Hello
I am having trouble installing my version of Office 365
Whenever i try to install it comes up with an error message saying

"We found a pre-release or beta version of an Office product on your computer and can't install because of it
Please Uninstall any pre-release Office software using the Programs and Features item in your Control Panel and try installing again"

I think this was caused by having office installed when i got the laptop, and whenever I tried to uninstall the old version it wouldn't work. I tried repairing it but that also didn't work.
When i used "Microsoft Fix It" it said that it uninstalled but I still get the error message.
Does anyone know how i can fix this and get Office installed?
Thanks

Download and use revouninstaller to get rid of the old install.

Don't mean to seem rude, but I'd suggest using the official Office removal tool rather than revo.

Go into control panel and try and locate the version of office you are using.

If you can't find any mention of it, I'd run both tools below.

Removal tool for Office 2013 and 365 - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

Removal tool for earlier versions - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971179

Revo removes 'leftovers' such as registry keys which the Microsoft uninstallers may not. There's no harm using Revo anyway. It's good stuff.

The FixIt tool does too.

I'm not debating that Revo is a useful tool, but Revo makes a guess at which registry keys need to be removed, where as the official removal tool knows exactly which registry keys its looking for, so seems to make sense.
