can't install win xp, help please.

So my computer died and I wanted a quick fix. I bought this barebones from tiger direct.

yeah I know cheap but I don't have that much money. Anyways I am still using my old hdd that had win xp in it. I try to install win xp from a cd but it gets stuck at "checking hardware" or something like that. so what do I need to do to get it to recognize my hardware?
 
i don't want to waste your time trying to figure it out. During the installation you need to some how do at least a generic installation. watch the screen when installing. read it carefully. there should not be a issue with this that ive seen. sorry....im not sure. is it asking for drivers during the install?
