I've had my computer for over a year now
(CPU: E6600 at 2.4 GHz, 2gig 6400 Corsair RAM, IP35 Pro Mobo, GeForce 8800GT GPU, 600 Watt power supply) but I haven't been able to overclock it past about 2.45 GHz I've heard other people with around the same specs being able to get 3.0 GHz, so I don't know what's wrong.
Whenever I use either the Abit software that came with my mobo or the BIOS options to overclock the FBS, whenever it gets to around 2.45GHz the computer shuts down and the bus speed resets. I've tried upping ram speeds and increasing voltage to the CPU, but nothing seems to work.
If you have any ideas, they would be much appreciated! thanks
