can't play video clips on Tv (via PC)

HI!

I just managed to connect my PC to my Tv so I could watch some DVD (that I have in my comp). It worked out well, I can see whatever is happening on my PC monitor on the TV, and playing a DVD movie is working fine as well. but something is not working correctly:

When I try to play a video file through Windows media player or real player the TV is not showing the content. I can see the application window and I can hear the sound but the the actual moving picture is not there, just black..On the monitor it is working as normal, I see everything, it is only the Tv screen that's wierd...

Anybody that know how to fix it?

Locate the video overlay setting in the video driver control panel.
