Cant Read any CD

hello all
I have a CD-RW in my computer, so when I insert any Cd, it just open an empty explorer with no file or icon loaded from the CD.
so what is the problem?

Make sure it's working properly through Device Manager.

Make sure you have all your cables connected in the right places.

You are using a CD that is too new for the ROM (Like when you buy a new pack of CD-R's and you cant burn anything on them...)

(Assuming it's not all CD's, is it?)
