Cant reset password

Hi I have a HP note book and iv forgotten password to sign into windows...... Im currently running windows starter .....As I'm the admin Iv tried the reset password but all I get is need instaltion disk as the note book has no cd slot ..... I can't do this..... I can not get on to guest account or my sons is my notebook naffed ... HELP

Since we can't be sure it is really your computer, it is against the forum rules to help you with this.
 
U being serious of course the lap top is mine ..... i had sky internet the contract ran out so for a bout a month i had no internet ..... i have gone with bt and for the life of me cant rememeber my password im a 63 year old woman why would i have a stolen notebook when it was bought for me as a christmas present if you cant help me then thats fine

But farther on, you might be able to restore the system to factory defaults to fix the issue. Or if you have another computer, I think there is a way to get Windows installed to a flashkey to do the repair.
 
as suggested, you will need a flash drive, usb stick or external drive and a legal program for re-setting the password. PM me if you like. I may be able to help you.
