can't save some things to CMOS

Hi people,
Im new here and just have a quick question
I have a bit of trouble with the no floppy drive notification whilst posting.
I am using the Award Phoenix 6.00 PG BIOS and when ever I go to change the no FDD notification to disable it ALWAYS comes back up , I set it to show and it will come up straight away, set it to dont show and it takes its time but still ends up getting displayed , I have checked in the BIOS to see if it sets itself back to enabled but it hasen't , it worked fine before I cleared my CMOS , I have my cpu overclocked but didn't think that was the cause, put it back to stock to check and still have the problem

Anyone experienced this before or know what the problem could be?

Did you restore the jumpers to "normal" position?

Yes!

The board eventually got progressivley worse, which in the end turned into catastrophic failure

Its probably in tiny litty bits in a landfill site now
