Can't Start the Recovery with Backup Image

I accidentally recovered (format) my system using the LG recovery software which came with my computer. After recovery, I got the initial Windows background.

I am trying to go back to do recovery using my backed up image file stored in D:. I tried to start Windows system restore, but it does not let me restart the system to do system restore.

What could be possible errors?
 
What software did you use to make the backup ? Is this backup bootable ?

I created the backup image using one that is built in Windows 7 Starter. But, I used the LG Recovery program to recover. I guess LG Recovery program had its "protected" image or something. Now, I can't use the back up image I created using Windows 7 Starter.
